Womens’ Ministry
The Lutheran Women in Mission (LWML) of OSLC meet on the second Sunday of each month, following the 10:45 church service.
LWML MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League is to assist each woman of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod in affirming her relationship with the Triune God so that she is enabled to use her gifts in ministry to the people of the world.
LWML VISION STATEMENT
The LWML is the leading group for LCMS women where each woman is welcomed and encouraged to use her unique God-given gifts as she supports global missions and serves the Lord with gladness.
Upcoming Dates:
- Sunday, June 14: Next LWML/Women of Our Savior Meeting
- Saturday, July 11: Annual Women’s Summer Picnic
- Saturday, August 8: Trip for All to Bible Museum Friday,
- September 25-27: LWML Chesapeake District Convention in Virginia Beach. (see below)
September 25-September 27, 2026, is the LWML Chesapeake District Convention.
It would be great to have TWO Our Savior women serve as delegates at the convention. The delegate responsibilities would be:
- Vote online for new officers for the Chesapeake District
- Vote online for the Mission Grants for the next biennium
- Vote at the Convention for by-law changes
- Represent Our Savior
It will be an exciting convention! The President of the LWML, President Eden Keefe, will be attending. Activities include:
- Worship led by Reverend SED President Bill Harmon
- Bible Studies
- Forged by Fire Keynote Speaker Reverend Paul
- Testimonies from Mission Grant Recipients
- Singing, Dancing, Fellowship…..
- Mssion Projects: making homeless mats, crosses for Benny and writing cards to seminarians
- Be equipped to serve our Lord
MITES for MISSIONS:
Our biennium ends early June. Please, prayerfully consider donating $10.00 or more to fully fund our LWML Mission Grants! Donations of ANY amount may be placed in the LWML mite box at the mission center. You may submit a check, made out to LWML Chesapeake District.
