Life Transitions
Everybody’s life is filled with significant changes. Some of them naturally occur as we grow up into adulthood and move into our senior years. Other such moments arrive unexpectedly and may even prove to be traumatic. In this study, we will focus on the Old Testament story of Joseph, a person who experienced many of life’s transitions. The story in Genesis 37 -50 is especially appropriate for the Easter season because the theme is one of death and resurrection. It also functions as a biblical looking glass through which we gain not only deeper insights into such moments in our own lives, but come to see more fully the help, comfort, and hope that God promises to provide for us at all of these times.
