Celebrate with us on Pentecost at 10 am!
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus,
Don’t come to the 8:15 service this Sunday. Don’t come to the 10:45 service. Don’t even think about coming to the 1:00 service.
Instead, come for the 10:00 a.m. service! One congregation, One people, One family, One worship service outside, in the front of the building. This weekend we celebrate the Day of Pentecost, when God poured out His Holy Spirit upon the followers of Jesus, transforming them with courage and boldness to stand up for Christ and participate in His mission. It’s going to be a great celebration of diversity, as was the very first Pentecost, and I pray that we will also be full of the Spirit.
At this special service, we will welcome our new members, who have just completed the New Member class and have a desire to join the congregation. We will also celebrate with our High School Seniors as they graduate and prepare for what’s next. Finally, we will dedicate the Haxton Memorial Solar Field to the glory of God.
Historically, the Day of Pentecost is a celebration of culture collision, and we have to celebrate at Our Savior. After worship, please stay for fellowship and food. Please bring a dish to share and get to know someone new. Take the initiative to learn something interesting about a culture other than your own.
If you can, wear RED, to symbolize the fire of Pentecost. Remember to pack your chair or blanket. Bring some food to share. Invite a friend (or someone you don’t even know). Let’s have a great day in the Lord!
In the joy of Jesus,

Pastor Peter
