Back by popular demand! Summer at the Movies 2!
I love watching movies. Movies are powerful communicators. They make us laugh and cry. They can disturb us and motivate us to action. The themes in movies cause us to think, and help us to connect the Biblical message with the language of our culture.
Starting Saturday, June 17, and for the following three Saturdays, we will be enjoying a movie together at 7:00 p.m. (Movie to start promptly at 7:30 p.m.), the theme of which will be used the following morning to reveal something about our great God from the scriptures. You’ll just have to show up to see how it all plays out! Come for popcorn, popcicles, drinks and a fun game to get to know others, and then we’ll enjoy a great movie together!
June 17: The Princess Bride (1987)
June 24: Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (2022)
July 1: Harriet (2019)
July 8: TBD (we might just take a poll!)
Unlike last time, we are going indoors with these—we will avoid the heat, bugs, and light by being inside, in the comforts of the Fellowship Hall.
Please use this opportunity to invite a friend to join you for the movie, and the sermon the next day. Lots of people like movies—so let’s use that to help people connect with Jesus, and those who love Him. Think about this—whom could you invite!
