Large Volunteer Need for Community Vaccination Center at the Greenbelt Metro Station

The South Eastern District has reached out to Our Savior Lutheran Church looking for volunteers to be support staff at the Greenbelt Vaccination Center. Please read below to find more information on how to help and how to sign-up to volunteer!

“FEMA has tasked Maryland VOAD and its Member Organizations to recruit and manage the volunteers. We need 30 volunteers per day (divided between two shifts), 7 days per week, for 8 weeks. The site opens formally today, Wednesday, April 7th at Noon.  The tasks performed by Volunteers are light-duty:  Access and Functional Needs (helping to push a wheelchair, etc.), Traffic Flow/Greeter (traffic=people, not cars), wellness checkpoint, observation, exit guide, and registration support.”

Tuesday: 7am-3pm

Wednesday: 12pm-8pm

Thursday: 12pm-8pm

Friday: 9am-5pm

Saturday: 9am-5pm

Sunday: 9am-5pm

Shifts

Monday and Tuesday:

6:30 am – 11:00 am

10:30 am – 3:30 pm

Wednesday and Thursday:

11:30 am – 4:00 pm

3:30 pm – 8:30 pm

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday:

8:30 am – 1:00 pm

12:30 pm – 5:30 pm
