A sermon based on Luke 24:44-53 Rev. J. Orlando Flahn
Taking the good news to all nations is the responsibility of the local church. In this week’s gospel lesson, Jesus says, “The Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, and that repentance for the forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations…” (Luke 24:46-47).
So, what does it mean for us as a congregation to proclaim the good news of repentance and forgiveness in the name of Christ Jesus to all nations?
Let us explore God’s desire to bring hope in Christ to all nations and the essential role of the local church in sharing this good news with the world.
