On the third Saturday of each month some members of Our Savior go to the Greater Laurel Health & Rehabilitation Center, Van Dusen Rd., Laurel (across from the hospital) to assist the residents who want to play BINGO. For more information.

Christmas in April
Christmas in April is a non-denominational volunteer organization that repairs the homes of senior citizens who are either low-income and/or physically challenged so they may live in warmth, safety, and independence. Christmas in April culminates in a one day repair effort on the last Saturday in April. Christmas in April relies on the community for support from volunteers to repair the homes, and seeks funding from businesses, corporations and individuals. For more information.

Elizabeth House/FISH of Laurel
Elizabeth House/FISH of Laurel assists people in need by serving daily evening meals 6:30 to 7:30 pm and by handing out groceries three times a week. Members of local churches and other organizations donate non-perishable food items. Volunteers take turns in cooking and serving the meals. For more information.

LARS (Laurel Advocacy & Referral Service)
LARS is an ecumenical ministry serving the Greater Laurel area that assists homeless and low-income individuals or families in crisis with both emergency and long-term services. LARS retains professional social workers, counselors, paid staff, social work students, and volunteers to provide assistance to clients who come to them through referrals from the religious community, former clients, and self-referrals. Parkview Home
The residents of the Parkview Home for seniors are our closest neighbors and we have had a special relationship with them for over ten years. A number of the residents also attend Sunday services and other events at Our Savior. Bible studies are held at Parkview and we are pleased to provide transportation for those who wish to attend services at the church. Tutoring Program
Our Savior offers a free tutoring program on Tuesday evenings for students, kindergarten through grade 12. For more information

Winterhaven Program
Each year the churches of Laurel open their doors to homeless people during the winter months. Two separate shelters are operated, one for men and one for women. For one week at a time the churches take turns offering a warm place to sleep, dinner, breakfast and a bag lunch. For more information
